This exotic box is handcrafted from aromatic Thuya burl wood, an evergreen related to the cedar, which grows only in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.  Thuya (or Thuja), pronounced twee-ya, forms natural cracks as it dries, adding visual interest to the swirling grain lines and distinctive bird's-eye pattern of this gorgeous burl wood.
